"My first textile print- "Rosalie in mustard seeds"

The high I felt when I walked down the stairs of the fabric printers offices as I had collected my  first print was super amazing! I could not believe that this was my drawing glaring back at me on this soft flowing cotton surface and the fact that i thought it looked gorgeous was fantastic!

I have been doubting my ability to draw for as long as i can remember. That mind numbing revolting limiting belief of "I'm not good enough" to draw, never mind publicise my drawing has been  believed and lived by for too many years and so i have been pushing myself to step into my power and finally actioned teaching myself to draw and trying different mediums and learning how to navigate in Adobe Illustrator to create patterns has been actioned seriously this year during my spare time.
 Rose illustration in colour pencil.

I scanned this image into my home scanner and imported it into Adobe Illustrator where I cut out and played for hours until i was happy with the pattern.

I had a few samples printed on natural bull denim, white gentry, and my favourite sample was the print on natural linen, which i think made into drapes (as seen here) is stunning! I can also see a rocker upholstered in this print and styled in a reading nook or bedroom.

My inspiration was only that i absolutely adore roses and after a long and draining day at the office decided to draw and colour my heart out!

Styled here as drapes and hung with metal ringlet clips.

Looking forward to sharing my next design with you!

Trust you love design and decor as much as I do!
